The Robertson™ Suprapubic Drain and Trocar System are designed for female bladder drainage. The Cysto-Drain, placed prior to gynecological surgery, helps reduce the possibility of post-operative urinary tract infection by obviating the need for the transurethral catheter. The 15 Fr. Elastomer Cysto Drain has a preformed curve to help inhibit the drain from kinking or passing out of the urethra. A hole on the outside of the curve near the tip accommodates the recessed hook of the trocar for insertion.
